• Java Development Kit / Java Runtime Environment version 6.0
• SSH/SFTP account for remote access
• Web proxy SSH remote access (useful if one is inside the firewwall)
• Web mail
• IMAP/POP3 mail server
• Apache Tomcat 6.0.x/7.0.x instance / Jetty 7
• Perl, CGI installed
• All spring, hibernate, Mysql, PostgreSQL packages are deployed at tomcat/lib by default
• Other open source packages are available upon requests
• Web site monitoring tool
• A Friendly Admin Panel - database backup, Web mail, Virtual Hostings etc.
• User completely controls life cycle of his/her tomcat (start/stop)
• Ideally for java programmers who are familiar with ANT, Unix/Linux environment, command lines
